PwC US and PwC India sign joint venture combining India consulting capacity

PwC US and PwC India signed an agreement to form a jointly owned venture that merges PwC India's consulting business with the India-based capabilities of PwC US Advisory. Sanjeev Krishan, chair of PwC India, will be CEO. The platform covers strategy, technology, engineering, AI and managed services and is intended partly to support US companies running GCCs in India. Closing is expected in the first half of 2027.

Buyer takeawayCompanies with India GCCs should expect a single, larger PwC delivery entity and should review existing contracts ahead of the 2027 closing.

Hexaware names EXL President Vivek Jetley as CEO, succeeding Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan

Hexaware told the Indian stock exchanges that Vivek Jetley, a President at EXL who led its insurance, healthcare and life sciences units, will become CEO on 28 October 2026. Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan, CEO for 12 years, steps down from the role and the board on that date and stays on as a senior advisor. Majority shareholder Carlyle backed the appointment.

Buyer takeawayGCC clients should expect continuity through the October handover, but should ask how the new CEO's data and AI background will shape Hexaware's GCC 2.0 roadmap and account priorities.

Deloitte India and CAST form alliance for AI-led application modernisation

Deloitte India and software intelligence firm CAST agreed a strategic alliance covering Asia-Pacific and Japan. CAST will map application architecture, dependencies, technical debt and open-source risk, and Deloitte will use those assessments in legacy and mainframe modernisation, cloud moves, AI readiness, technology due diligence and managed services. The partners plan playbooks, proof-of-value projects and industry accelerators.

Buyer takeawayEnterprises planning to modernise legacy estates or shift work to India centres can get a data-based view of application risk before committing budgets.

Infosys opens 330,000 sq ft development block at its Indore campus

Infosys inaugurated a second software development block of about 330,000 square feet at its Indore Super Corridor campus, which already employs more than 3,300 people. The site will expand work in cloud, application development, AI and machine learning, and cybersecurity for financial services, retail, life sciences and manufacturing clients, with skilling ties to local institutes.

Buyer takeawayBuyers seeking tier-two Indian delivery locations for AI and cloud work gain more Infosys capacity outside the main metros.

GCC AI Impact Series - From Hype to ROI: Realising Enterprise Value From GenAI and Agentic AI in GCCs

This white paper challenges the assumption that Agentic AI success is primarily a function of speed or scale. It examines where Agentic AI is actually working, where caution is justified, and why many enterprises remain stuck between experimentation and impact. It also signals a deeper transition underway in India’s GCC ecosystem, from delivery engines to accountable owners of platforms, products, and outcomes.

Global Capability Centers (GCCs) Salary Trends in India 2026

India’s Global Capability Centres have transitioned from cost arbitrage operations to high value innovation hubs, and compensation trends increasingly reflect this shift. GCCs continue to command a clear and widening premium over non GCC employers, reinforcing their positioning as preferred destinations for high quality talent.

Compensation within GCCs is shaped by multiple structural factors. Experience remains the most significant driver, with clear differentiation across career stages and a notable inflection in mid career roles. Sector dynamics further influence pay levels, with certain industries consistently commanding higher compensation due to the complexity and strategic nature of work. Geographic location introduces another layer of variation, with leading metros offering higher pay while emerging hubs operate at a relative discount.

Role specialisation has emerged as a defining factor in compensation, with advanced and niche technology roles attracting a premium over generalist positions. Beyond technology, non tech roles also exhibit varied compensation patterns, with only a subset of functions consistently outperforming the median. Educational qualifications further shape pay outcomes, with higher academic attainment translating into stronger compensation differentiation across both tech and non tech talent pools.

Overall, these trends provide a comprehensive view of how compensation is evolving within India’s GCC ecosystem, offering valuable insights for GCC leaders, talent strategists, and industry stakeholders.
