What it means for buyers
Buyers should ask providers how many engineers are certified on the specific platforms they plan to use, how forward deployed teams are staffed and priced, and what production references exist beyond pilots. Read the full brief (210 words)
Agentic AI service providers spent September adjusting their delivery models and partner standing. MathCo announced a shift to an AI-native operating model and set a target of 4,000 AI professionals over four years, the clearest hiring signal in this market during the month. USEReady joined the OpenAI Partner Network, adding a model-provider relationship to its existing data platform partnerships. Fujitsu renewed its partnership with Palantir and became a Global Forward Deployed Engineering partner, which places Fujitsu engineers directly inside client AI deployments built on Palantir's platforms. Other vendors in the market, including Blend360, Tiger Analytics, LatentView Analytics, Fractal and WNS, had no confirmed September events specific to agentic services, although several made announcements just before or after the window. The pattern matters for buyers because agentic programmes depend on engineers who can sit with business teams and adapt agents to real workflows. Forward deployed models and model-provider partner tiers are becoming common ways for service firms to show that capacity. Buyers should ask providers how many engineers are certified on the specific platforms they plan to use, how forward deployed teams are staffed and priced, and what production references exist beyond pilots. Hiring targets are useful signals, though buyers should look for evidence of delivered agent programmes when comparing shortlists.
USEReady joins the OpenAI Partner Network for enterprise AI delivery
+
USEReady joined the OpenAI Partner Network, gaining access to OpenAI enablement and support resources. The company says it has already delivered production systems on the OpenAI Agents SDK and offers about 30 prebuilt cognitive agents through its AlphaGenie toolkit. Its OpenAI work will span AI strategy, data modernisation, agentic application development, LLM operations and managed services.
Buyer takeawayMid-market and enterprise buyers using OpenAI models can add USEReady to partner shortlists, particularly where agent projects also need BI and data modernisation work.
Fujitsu renews Palantir partnership and becomes a Global FDE Partner
+
Fujitsu and Palantir renewed the strategic partnership they began in 2020, and Fujitsu signed a new agreement covering Palantir AIP and Foundry. As a Global FDE Partner, Fujitsu will supply forward deployed engineers who build custom AI applications on Palantir software for clients in Japan and abroad, drawing on its Takane language model and Uvance offerings.
Buyer takeawayEnterprises standardising on Palantir AIP or Foundry gain another large integrator with dedicated engineering capacity for building and deploying agentic applications.
MathCo shifts to AI-native model, targets 4,000 AI professionals in four years
+
Marking ten years in business, MathCo announced a move to an AI-native way of working that it expects to create more than 2,000 specialised AI roles. It targets threefold growth over four years and a workforce of over 4,000 AI-native professionals across India and the US, with a hiring focus on forward deployed engineers. The model is organised around a framework it calls the Thinking Architecture.
Buyer takeawayEnterprises using MathCo should expect more forward deployed engineering in engagements and should check how the new operating model changes staffing, pricing and delivery governance.
