MongoDB and Google Cloud Partner to Enhance Generative AI Applications and Data Processing

The expanded collaboration between MongoDB and Google Cloud offers developers powerful tools and solutions to build innovative applications.

MongoDB, Inc. has announced an expanded collaboration with Google Cloud at Google Cloud Next ‘24. This collaboration aims to simplify the development and deployment of generative AI applications and streamline data processing with advanced solutions.

At the announcement, Alan Chhabra, Executive Vice President of Partners at MongoDB, expressed, “MongoDB’s strong partnership with Google Cloud is the result of our close collaboration to meet the unique demands of organisations across industries.”

Empowering Developers with Cutting-Edge Tools

The collaboration between MongoDB and Google Cloud focuses on providing developers with cutting-edge tools to build, scale, and deploy generative AI applications effectively. Leveraging MongoDB Atlas Vector Search and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, along with additional support for data processing with BigQuery, developers can create innovative applications with ease.

Stephen Orban, Vice President of Migrations, ISVs, and Marketplace at Google Cloud, highlighted, “Customers continue to tell us they want world-class generative AI support built into the leading tools they already use, such as MongoDB.”

Enabling Scalable and Efficient Workloads

MongoDB Atlas Search Nodes, now available on Google Cloud, offer dedicated infrastructure for generative AI and relevance-based search workloads. This allows for seamless isolation and scaling of workloads, optimizing costs, and reducing query times by up to 60%.

Strengthening Analytical Capabilities

With bi-directional sync between BigQuery and MongoDB Atlas, customers can enhance analytical workloads with real-time operational data. Additionally, a new integration for Spark stored procedures with BigQuery streamlines data processing workflows for analytics, BI, and end-user applications.

Transforming Industries with Innovative Solutions

MongoDB and Google Cloud are collaborating on new industry solutions for retail and manufacturing, offering deeper product integrations and solutions. These solutions aim to provide a seamless development environment for creating engaging shopping experiences and data-driven applications for smart factories.

For customers with highly sensitive data, MongoDB Enterprise Advanced (EA) is now available on Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). This enables organisations to run workloads in a tightly controlled and secured environment without connecting to Google Cloud or the public internet.

Customer Testimonials

Rent the Runway, a disruptive force in the fashion industry, has benefited from MongoDB Atlas on Google Cloud. According to Mike Liberant, Senior Director of Software Engineering at Rent the Runway, MongoDB Atlas enables them to process garments more quickly and accurately, ultimately improving customer service.

Kin + Carta, a global digital transformation consultancy, highlights MongoDB’s connectors and integrations with BigQuery and Vertex AI as compelling choices for customers seeking flexibility and optionality in building commerce solutions.

Conclusion:

The expanded collaboration between MongoDB and Google Cloud offers developers powerful tools and solutions to build innovative applications. With a focus on scalability, efficiency, and security, this partnership aims to drive digital transformation across industries.
