In a move to make artificial intelligence more accessible, H2O.ai has launched native machine learning and generative AI apps directly within the Generative AI Apps in Snowflake Marketplace. The apps were announced at Snowflake’s annual user conference in San Francisco.
The new H2O AI apps run natively inside customers’ Snowflake accounts, providing seamless integration and enabling users to leverage large language models and other AI capabilities without complex integrations or technical expertise required.
“This is a big step in making AI accessible to everyone,” said Sri Ambati, CEO and founder of H2O.ai. “By embedding our predictive and generative AI apps into Snowflake’s ecosystem, we’re helping organizations get powerful insights from large language models right within their Snowflake accounts.”
The H2O apps available on Snowflake’s marketplace include the Predictive Modeling Starter Pack, GenAI LLM Starter Pack, and Machine Learning Starter Pack. Key features allow users to enrich data by generating new columns based on AI models, enable sophisticated question answering, and combine generative AI with traditional predictive modeling.
“With native apps and new container services, partners can bring complex applications directly to customers, running on their secure data inside Snowflake,” said Chris Child, Senior Director of Product Management at Snowflake. “This allows partners to deliver valuable AI capabilities quickly and securely in the Data Cloud.”
The partnership allows H2O.ai’s customers to derive insights from their data without moving it out of Snowflake’s hosted environment. Jeffrey Vagg, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at payment processor North American Bancard, praised the integration, quoting, “Collaborating with H2O.ai, we’ve witnessed the power of bringing intelligence to the data, rather than moving data. This shift has enhanced efficiency, performance, and opened advanced analytics possibilities,” Vagg said. “Together, we’re co-creating transformative strategies that drive our business forward.”
With generative AI being one of the hottest topics in tech, the H2O.ai integration could make Snowflake’s platform even more attractive to enterprises looking to capitalize on large language models and other AI capabilities. The partnership allows data-savvy companies to experiment with generative AI without significant overhead.
