Google Cloud and Cognizant are planning on expanding their alliance by improving upon the software delivery lifecycle while also helping to fasten the rate at which developers become productive. Advancing Developer Productivity with AI

Cognizant’s developers will benefit from Gemini for Google Cloud’s advanced capabilities, enabling them to write, test, and deploy code more effectively. This integration of AI-powered tools aims to enhance reliability and cost efficiency in building and managing client applications.

Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, emphasizes the transformative potential of generative AI: “Cognizant has committed to investing $1 billion in generative AI over three years because we believe it is a powerful tool to amplify human potential, and our partnership with Google Cloud is central to this commitment, and to realizing this vision.”

Addressing Industry Challenges Through Collaboration

The collaboration between Cognizant and Google Cloud aims to deliver a broad range of benefits to enterprise clients across industries. By utilizing Gemini, the partners seek to streamline application development, rigorous code testing, and issue remediation, optimizing performance throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, highlights the potential of generative AI in software development: “Generative AI has the potential to significantly improve every stage of the software delivery lifecycle, helping developers quickly generate code, troubleshoot issues, and automate processes.”

Enabling Workforce Training and Integration

Over the next 12 months, Cognizant plans to invest in upskilling more than 70,000 associates across multiple functions on Google Cloud’s AI offerings. Additionally, Cognizant will integrate Gemini into its suite of automated platforms and accelerators, starting with the recently announced Cognizant Flowsource™ platform for developers.

Integrating gen AI capabilities into Cognizant’s internal operations and platforms will lead to deeper insights, optimized processes, and improved user experiences.
