Frequently Asked Questions
Who in the Client Organization can request for an Inquiry Call?
At the time of subscription, the client organization needs to assign a SPOC for requesting inquiry calls with the analyst team. The SPOC is only authorized to request for an inquiry call.
Who in the Client Organization can join an Inquiry Call?
The SPOC in the client organization can invite the requisite number of colleagues to attend the inquiry call. There is no such limit.
What is the ideal duration of an Inquiry Call?
Ideally, one specific query will lead to a 0.5 hour (30 mins) or 1 hour (60 mins) of an inquiry call. Depending on the query complexity, the call may extend beyond an hour as well.
What is the criteria to consider a query as an Inquiry leading up to a call?
Any query (about published research or custom) that requires less than 2 hours of Analyst effort (research + delivery via a call or email) is considered to be within the boundary of an Inquiry Call.
I have 10 Analyst Inquiry Hours. How does this translate to the number of queries covered?
As explained earlier, any query that takes less than 2 hours of total Analyst effort will be considered as 1 unit/hour of Analyst Inquiry. Hence, if you have 10 Analyst Inquiry Hours, you can connect for 10 different queries, each query requiring less than 2 hours of total Analyst effort. In essence, 1 query = 1 Analyst Hour.
In what format will the response to the query shared with the client?
The response to a query shall be shared via a call. In-person meetings will generally be avoided. In each call, the analyst may or may not prepare slides or document for the response.
The analyst may also decide to send an email with the response (along with necessary documents attached, wherever applicable) as the first point of contact.
Can an Inquiry Call be recorded for internal consumption within the client organization?
Yes, it can be recorded by the SPOC or the analyst. The recording and the transcript is only for internal consumption, and not be shared externally without the prior notice and permission of AIM Research.
I need to brief the Analyst team about my newly launched solution. Do I consumer an Inquiry Hour for this?
No, a vendor briefing is separate from an Inquiry Hour, and is not charged by AIM Research at all. A vendor briefing can be scheduled based on the analyst interest and mutual availability of the analyst and the vendor.
Can I reassign my inquiry license to my colleague?
Yes, the SPOC in the client organization may reassign his/her license to a colleague, who will then be considered a SPOC, and can then send out inquiry call request.
What If My Question Falls Outside AIM Research Coverage?
If any query will need more than 2 hours of total analyst effort, then AIM Research will treat this as a custom research/consulting opportunity.
Inquiry Hours have been exhausted. How do I extend the number of hours?
Contact the AIM Research Account Manager for extending the number of hours- this will be charged.
What is not covered?
- Custom research or query, each requiring more than 2 hours of Analyst estimated effort (research + delivery of response via a call/email)
- Technical specifications with >10 pages
