Lenovo Unveils New Suite of AI-centric Infrastructure Systems to Drive Hybrid AI Innovation

Lenovo, a global technology powerhouse, has announced today a comprehensive suite of purpose-built AI-centric infrastructure systems and solutions aimed at advancing Hybrid AI innovation across diverse industries. This new offering is set to address the escalating demands of compute-intensive workloads spanning from edge to cloud environments. With a focus on delivering GPU-rich and thermally efficient solutions, Lenovo is poised to empower businesses managing massive datasets, particularly in sectors such as financial services and healthcare, where extreme I/O bandwidth is crucial for managing critical data effectively.

Accelerating Compute Demanding AI Workloads

In collaboration with AMD, Lenovo is introducing the ThinkSystem SR685a V3 8GPU server, specifically designed to handle the most compute-demanding AI workloads, including GenAI and Large Language Models (LLM). This powerful solution offers fast acceleration, large memory, and I/O bandwidth capabilities, making it ideal for industries such as financial services, healthcare, energy, climate science, and transportation. The ThinkSystem SR685a V3 promises to deliver unmatched performance for both enterprise private on-prem AI and public AI cloud service providers.

Powerful Edge Computing with Azure Stack HCI Server

Lenovo’s new ThinkAgile MX455 V3 Edge Premier Solution, powered by AMD EPYCTM 8004 processors, brings AI inferencing and real-time data analysis to the edge. Offering superior AI, compute, and storage performance, this solution boasts the best power efficiency among Azure Stack HCI Solutions. With seamless integration with on-prem and Azure cloud, Lenovo aims to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) while enabling faster adoption of software innovations across industries such as retail, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Douglas Phillips, Corporate Vice President, Azure Edge + Platform, Microsoft, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating, “Our collaboration with Lenovo allows us to deliver just enough Azure to these critical edge sites while simplifying deployment and life cycle management.”

Efficient Solutions for Compute Intensive Workloads

Lenovo and AMD are introducing the Lenovo ThinkSystem SD535 V3, a high-performance, thermally efficient server designed to maximize performance per rack for intensive transaction processing. With support for both AMD and Intel architectures in the same chassis, this server offers unparalleled flexibility for optimizing workloads. It simplifies large-scale automation, orchestration, and deployment, while delivering up to 30% reduction in power consumption compared to standard 1U rack servers.

Simplifying AI Adoption with Professional Services

Lenovo has launched Lenovo AI Advisory and Professional Services, offering a breadth of services, solutions, and platforms to help businesses navigate the AI landscape effectively. With a five-step process covering AI discovery, advisory, fast start, deployment, and managed services, Lenovo aims to accelerate AI adoption and enable organizations to realize tangible business outcomes swiftly.
