Cleveland Clinic, a global leader in healthcare, has announced the appointment of Albert Marinez as its first-ever Chief Analytics Officer, effective as of August 28, 2023. Marinez brings more than 20 years of experience in the field of analytics and data science to the role, having previously served as the Chief Analytics Officer at Intermountain Health.
A Leader in Data-Driven Healthcare
Albert Marinez will work closely with leaders across the Cleveland Clinic health system to harness the power of data analytics to improve patient outcomes, cut costs, and drive growth. In collaboration with Chief Digital Officer Rohit Chandra, Marinez aims to unify and optimize the Clinic’s analytics strategy.

Background and Expertise
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, Marinez led data and analytics strategy at Intermountain Health in Salt Lake City, where he launched a center of excellence for artificial intelligence (AI) and was pivotal in the implementation of next-generation data analytics platforms.
“I look forward to joining the team at Cleveland Clinic and working to advance the use of data and analytics to enhance patient care, while prioritizing privacy and safety in everything we do,” said Marinez.
Before his stint at Intermountain Health, Marinez served in executive leadership roles at Swisslog Healthcare, focusing on global analytics and cloud platform services. He also had a role at KenSci, a healthcare startup specializing in AI and machine learning, and was Director of Performance Analytics at MultiCare Health System.
In 2022, Marinez served as a board member on the Microsoft Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Coalition for Healthcare.

Albert Marinez holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Adventist University.
