This innovative release marks a significant advancement in legal research capabilities, empowering legal professionals with personalized experiences to expedite decision-making processes and elevate work quality. The enhanced AI Assistant is accessible to all existing Lexis+ AI customers, reaffirming LexisNexis’ commitment to continuous improvement and customer-centric innovation.

The latest enhancements to the AI Assistant underscore LexisNexis’ dedication to advancing legal generative AI technology, building upon the successful commercial introduction of Lexis+ AI in October 2023. Grounded in LexisNexis’ extensive repository of exclusive legal content, Lexis+ AI facilitates conversational search, insightful summarization, intelligent drafting, and document analysis in a seamless user experience.

Faster Delivery of Results: AI-generated answers are now delivered word-by-word, enhancing the conversational experience and providing trusted results backed by authoritative citations at double the speed of competitors.

Enhanced Multi-Turn Conversation Capability: Users can engage in deeper, more contextual conversations with the AI Assistant, facilitating refined insights and improved generative AI answers.

Conversational Guidance for Drafting: Tailored recommendations guide users through drafting tasks, offering step-by-step assistance in crafting emails, letters, arguments, clauses, and memos.

Expanded Delivery Options: New delivery options, including Email, Download, and Print, provide users with added flexibility in accessing conversational results.

AI-Generated Statute Summaries: Lexis+ AI now offers generative AI-powered summaries for U.S. federal and state statutes, enhancing transparency and accessibility in legal research.

Increased Document Upload Capacity: Users can now analyze and summarize larger documents, accommodating up to 400,000 characters per request.

Positive Reception and Global Expansion

Customers have responded positively to the enhancements, with 91% of users reporting Lexis+ AI as easy to use—a testament to the platform’s efficacy in meeting the evolving needs of legal professionals. Since its U.S. launch in October 2023, Lexis+ AI has expanded internationally, serving customers in the U.K., Canada, France, and Australia, with availability in additional regions such as the Middle East, Japan, and Korea.
