Founded by a team of ex-founders, including Adam Silverman, Shawn Qiu, Braelyn Boynton, and Howard Gil, Agency has identified a critical problem in the AI landscape: despite the potential of AI agents as the next major paradigm shift in computing, their current performance is subpar.as the next major paradigm shift in computing, their current performance is subpar.
“We started by building agents ourselves but had to roll out our own custom tooling just to make them reliable,” stated Alex Reibman in his Linkedin post. “As it turns out, every dev we met faced the exact same issue.”
Agency’s mission is to “bring safe, reliable, and accessible AI agents to everyone.” Their main product, AgentOps, provides developers with tools for agent testing and monitoring. Thousands of developers already trust agentops.ai to build agentic systems that work at scale.
In addition to AgentOps, the company manages one of the web’s most popular lists of functional AI agents, previously known as Staf AI. This curated list features hundreds of AI agents personally reviewed and vetted by the Agency team.
The funding round was led by 645 Ventures and Afore Capital, with participation from notable figures in the AI community such as Ben Tossell and several expert AI/ML angels. The investment will be used to accelerate the company’s timeline and further develop their technologies.
Agency’s client base already includes thousands of developers, startups, and enterprises. With this new funding, the company is poised to expand its reach and continue its mission of fixing the current issues plaguing AI agents.
As AI technology continues to evolve rapidly, Agency’s focus on creating reliable and scalable AI agents could play a crucial role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence applications across various industries.
